Brokenhead Ojibway Nation’s Development Corp. is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Financial Administration Assistant. The Financial Administration Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day financial administration operations and other administrative tasks as required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with managing full cycle accounting tasks: accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Assist with payroll: update spreadsheets, employee hours, and calculate payroll payments.
- Record daily EFT, cheque payments, and semi-monthly credit card and auto-debit payments.
- Process and distribute monthly customer invoices.
- Communicate with vendors and customers regarding payments, invoices and billing inquiries.
- Ensure the timely processing of approved payments to vendors
- Review accounts receivable reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Review and enter supplier and subcontractor bills with supporting documents.
- Record credit card charges with documentation.
- Perform administrative tasks and special projects as required.
Experience and Skills:
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Completion of Grade 12 education or GED.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is an asset
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check.
